The good thing about photographing without having an end client to whom you have to hand in photos is that you can experiment and do not have to worry if the photos will come out or not ... This is even more the case when you get to really dark places and you just try to get the best photo possible with the equipment at your disposal... You can play around, try new things and then come home and see on the computer if anything works, and see what does not work or what could work if you tweaked it as bit more... And remember it for next time...
And having looked at the album, I must say there are some very worthwhile experiments there.
