Sometimes

you come to an exhibition opening with your camera and all that is exhibited is one video projection (and you are actually working on this night). There is nothing much you can do but toy around and take photos of the people in the darkness of the gallery.

Strange things that happen to me at poetry readings #1

People applaud me, even though I don't actually do anything.
(Dejan (the MC of the poetry evenings) did force them of course, but still... )
Anyroad, here is a photo of somebody who did read his poetry yesterday, and the ones reading are really the ones who deserve the applause).

Sunday 25 January 2015

There I am

sitting in the theatre, watching a show... And I see a shot I really like, but I can't make it as there is something in  the way and we are in the middle of a performance and I can't just walk around choosing my angles... As it is repeated several times I at one stage decide to make it anyway, just the way it is (kids don't try this at home).
Later on during the performance my little pocket camera (silent. yey!) has another chance to prove itself as it is involved in another mid performance noiseless photo opportunity. But still... nothing quite beats taking photos during rehearsals (even though a lot of mine are taken during performances).

One of these days

I am sure it will be my time to read some poetry... But until then I will just listen (or read, whatever the case might be) to my friends doing their best.

It is nice

when you get invited into a strange world (which is, by the way, much better than the one we like to call 'real').

Sunday 4 January 2015

First exhibition

of the year. It was an outside one, and one I have seen already (as it is one they resurrect every now and then). It  is also conveniently located in what is one of my favourite venues (outdoors, in a park), unfortunately as it is a pick-and-mix exhibition of various authors it has got quite a few that just make you hate the fact that somebody once wrote a piece of software called photoshop that is way too often used to create photographs that make you eyes bleed and millions of small pieces of shrapnel travel through your brain at the speed of light.

First concert

of the year and for the second time in a row it was Carina on 1st January. (It seems to be becoming a bit of a tradition)
This time they were accompanied by Via Ofenziva (and this time I focused on the two singers from the two bands for my blog entry).
