Toughy

It is always hard to select a single photo for the blog when I have seen (and photographed) one dance lesson and three short play rehearsals in the same day. In such cases I often opt to do one photo from each, but today I decided to go for the one that reflects how I often feel.

Thursday 28 May 2015

We are back!

Finally! (Now that I have stopped worrying about absolutely everything that I could do wrong as a non-performer).

Monday 25 May 2015

G2G

... and somehow you know the new generation is coming (whether they want to or not).

Sunday 24 May 2015

This lazy Sunday

it was all about getting familiar with the place, light, moves, and inhaling some dust, next weekend it is all for real.

Friday 22 May 2015

Short

and sweet reintroduction of my lens and Grega's movements. It was about time, mate.

Wednesday 20 May 2015

I've got news

for all of you who were told happiness is a cigar called Hamlet, it is also a play called Hamlet, so why don't you trot down to your local pocket theatre and check it out.

Tuesday 19 May 2015

The last

workshop in this series (and now we are looking at the horizon for new challenges). All that is left for us to do is organise the exhibition of the workshop attendees (official opening in Daktari, this Friday evening), and figure out how to fix the things that didn't go as planned during the workshops.
Anyway, see you at the festival opening on Thursday or exhibition opening on Friday.

I remember

my dad would tell me various anecdotes revolving around these guys and after seeing some photos from the 'fun ol' times' I did for a moment regret I was not walking around with a camera already at the time, but immediately afterwards I thought: 'I can do this now, with other peeps', so now I am looking forward to doing some good goofy photos soon.

Sunday 10 May 2015

Bumping into

the right people at the right time, they took my mind off things for a while.

Saturday 9 May 2015

Some people

came to remember
some came to express gratitude
 some came for the rock-n-roll
while some considered it an opportunity to dress up.

Wednesday 6 May 2015

By the time you see this photo

you will need to start thinking at which dry cleaner's you have left your opening night suit, pick it up, call your special theatre date, arrange to meet her for a pre-opening night  dinner...
(and it goes on and on and on, doesn't it?)

Sunday 3 May 2015

3 am

Sitting on the dock of the bay,
wastin' time...
But by the evening I was off the island, in another town, in a different country, at a concert, and in colour...

Saturday 2 May 2015

Concert on the beach

Band 1:  Bass player from Buco i Kalasnjikovi

Band 2: Brain production

Band 3: bass player from Repetitor

Band 4: singer from Moskva

Friday 1 May 2015

For a moment

I thought the time when people had jobs and some (what I consider pretty basic) rights* and were proud and happy to have them was back, and that celebrating this on 1st May would be a grand occasion, but in the end, it was only the band, me, B., another couple (yes 2) tourists, and
this cat that actually bothered to wake up.
Anyway people, happy Labour day, and hope we get our act together before we find ourselves in the brave new world.

* Some of which were gained in what we consider the rather backwards 19th (and beginning of the 20th) century, but most of which have been lost over recent years.
