Second day

of Frank Turner's Last Minutes kicked off with Rob Lynch (and the people loved him).

 Puttenhusener Pommesbude was apparently sent from Germany to Camden to punish us for Brexit (his words, not mine)

 Jack Little played his set in the middle of his stag party.

and Chloe Glover was my favourite of the evening.

Fazerdaze

took me to a different world.

it would be better if they stuck to the loudness they enjoy.

A four band

benefit for the homeless. I wouldn't be me if I didn't go and support this one with my photos.

The Alvarez Theory opened the night. 

  Hannah Harris and her partner Nick followed. 

Miri was my favourite of the night. 

And the Nun Habit had the most fun on stage and provided the greatest entertainment for their fan base (apparently it was their first ever concert). 

The Happiness Project

 Haven't seen Alex for a long time, so it was great to catch up with him and great to see the project he is currently involved in.

Portobello Live - day 2

On the second day I got my act together and I saw way too many bands to actually post the photos of all on my blog (you will just have to find the photos elsewhere - they are not so hard to find), and in such situations I am never quite sure how to come up with the blog selection. This time I decided to post a photo of the singer who flirted with the camera the most (I mean obviously, it has to pay off in some way (oh, and of course, this is not one of the flirty pics)).

Portobello Live - day 1

On the first day I only managed to catch a few bands, and as I was completely disorganised I managed to miss John Cooper Clarke. But no use moaning about what I missed, here are a few photos of the bands I actually saw:

 He really reminded me of Hugh Grant in Music and Lyrics (sorry Ben)

 Jenny played the bass in 3 (possibly 4) bands at Portobello live. Surely she must get some sort of a dedication award or a blue plaque. 

And Allison is the drummer at Taurus Trakker.

might have been my last concert in Rough Trade for a while, as I am leaving London. I will be back though, and when I return I will photograph it all!

But once you were sucked in it, you couldn't help notice the music and celebration of life.

photographing a performance in an old library and it felt like home.  

I like these

all day gigs, they seem like an Easter warm up to the summer festival season. I am sure that if I had a good shoulder I would spend more time at them, but as it is I can only manage a few bands...

I didn't

stay for the whole 10 hours, but these two were my favourites from what I have seen this Easter Sunday.

(Hockney) exhibition. As soon as I stepped in I decided it was way too crowded (I know, one is spoilt) so I went out again
and went in search of the Stan Firm inna Inglan exhibition.

   While searching for it I bumped into a few other rooms on the way
