Not a great football fan

so instead of really focusing on the finals, I focused on the people watching and celebrating at the two Spanish bars at the end of the street.

With a little help from my concert going friends

I discovered a new music venue, the spiritual bar where I saw Morten Lava

Izzie Yardley (for the second time this week)

Simeon (who I saw once before (I think it was round the corner from here, at The Monarch))

and in the end there was an open mic for anyone to come up and play some music, do some spoken word, recite poetry or do some comedy and this guy came up and played a few songs for us, unfortunately I don't know his name).

Met some friends at the Monarch

and we saw (and listened to obvs.) Matt Maynard

Goodies (not The Goodies from the telly, but this is just their drummer of the photo)

and Khatroum - only showing you the singer/guitarist on this blog (at least I hope I got them all right)

It was the 14th of the month again

and we walked, silently, down Ladbroke Grove, into the late summer silent evening
and afterwards I went to the Monarch to set my mind free and listen to some Moon Balloon (I chose to show you the bass player of the band, because I feel whimsical today and because I can)
and the Beach for Tiger (the drummer, for reasons why him and not anyone else from the band, see above)
and Voksal (need I explain?)

Brett Newski

on his last day of the European tour, just before heading off back to the States.

Jibba Jabba in their hometown (I have no idea where they were off to the next day)

The month of March is for marching

They want to save the NHS
 as do all of them
 and them
He would probably prefer it if NHS was not saved.
But he wants it saved
as does he
 and all of them.
And they would probably also want it saved, but unfortunately they are Americans so they most likely know nothing about it (just wanted to let you know that just because I went to the demos this doesn't mean I would not also go to a concert).

(Just in case it is not clear I also want it saved)

Street party

for those with energy (and feeling slightly sexy)

and those who are a bit tired, because let's face it, they had to have their morning coffee, and if that isn't exhausting I don't know what is.

Today

I cycled to the Rough Trade gig in Brick Lane on my new bike (which doesn't really tell you anything about the band, but tells you I am enjoying myself in London).

Absolutely everybody

I spoke to at the opening said: 'Andy is the nicest bloke you could ever meet.' (and let me tell you they are quite on the ball there)
I think that is one of the best recommendations for him to get a photo from his opening posted on my blog.
