Wedding couple

Spent a wonderful day at a wedding, and even though I was not the official photographer I couldn't help myself and I took a few photos of the wonderful couple.

Kamfest

Went to Kamfest today with a friend. Haven't been there for a while, so it was good to be back. First we saw and listened to Niko Novak, the sole rider from what used to be the duo Incurabili. He seems to have become a tad darker since his music partner died, but unfortunately that is all a part of life.

After that we (bumped into a few other friends at the first concert, walked back into the town centre and listened to a bit of Koala Voice (a completely different feeling, different music and a much bigger crowd).

Panik Deluxe

Back in my old haunt, a place I used to sort of work years ago. Who wouldn't go and check out a performer who calls herself Panik Deluxe?

STUDY We are not your matter

Went to see Ryuzo (dance) and Zsuzsanna's (visuals) performance at Cirkulacija 2 today. Apart from enjoying the performance it was also a good opportunity to catch up with some of my friends.

The end of the 2024 European Tour

This was the final event of our (Gregor and myself) 2024 Summer European Tour. We started almost 40 days prior (30.6) in Zagreb. Had a wonderful trip through Europe, finished in the UK (ahhhh, my home) and then rushed back to Ljubljana with my old (29 years) Volvo to be in time for this performance.

(Just to let you know, I was truly happy on this tour, loved driving around in my car, in good company, and loved being back in England, ahhhh my home, have I said that already?)

This night he was joined by Cat Woman (Guess what this performance was all about?)

Used to be a sister, brother, sister act (Kitty, Lewis and Daisy), but now they have become a brother, sister and husband act.

When in London over summer

visit Dalston Eastern Curve Gardens (and try to make it there while there is a concert on). It is a nice, hidden garden, with some great events going on. This time we went to see Xambi

which were followed by the main band of the evening,

Nana Benz du Togo.

The Harrison all day festival (Save the Harrison)

It was an all day festival (at the Jamboree) to raise funds for the Harrison (had to pay rent for the premises during Covid, even though they couldn't be open). The afternoon started with Jennie Higgins,

continued with Nine Dead Mice (only one of the three that actually appeared is on the photo).

Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra started off the evening,

and the people started dancing.

Followed by The Alice Phelps Band

whose drummer smiled at me (or should I say my camera?).

Adam Beattie and

Fiona Bevan came on next,

and they were followed by Dizraeli, who I heard for the first time and was my favourite of the night with his socially conscious songs.

Alice came on stage for the second time in the night, this time with Alice and the Percolators (but as you have already seen a photo of her from the night, I decided to show you one of a member of the Percolators instead).

James Ridley brought the evening to the end

and people just couldn't get enough of live music and dancing.

Louis Brennan

Another singer-songwriter I would probably never heard of it it wasn't for the Liverpudlian Parkin brothers, who are most likely the two people who go to the most concerts (not to work there) from all the people I know. It was great to see them during my stay in London and wonderful to attend a few concerts with them.

Not a great football fan

so instead of really focusing on the finals, I focused on the people watching and celebrating at the two Spanish bars at the end of the street.

Trellick 52 Festival

It is good to come back to London and immediately discover there is a festival with live music going on. It gave me the chance to bump into some of the locals I haven't seen since I left London and hear a combination of not yet heard and already heard acts. The first one I came to was Greebo (Not seen them (I think this is the pronoun they identify with) before).

Greebo was followed by Peaky Saku, who I also have not heard before.

And then came the already established local band Loretta & The Five Shades (with KJ), who I have already seen before.

Here are Loretta and KJ in a loving duet

and of course Hamid, at whose place I spent a few New Year's eves (unlike on this photo, he often has a smile on that face of his), so I had to post a photo of him here.

Of course we also had our local Rotten Hill Gang (so guess where we were :) )

In the area a proper day of music needs to have a steel band at some stage, this time The Metronomes closed down the show.

While the music was playing the graffiti artists were creating their art

and people were

dancing.

Being a clown

enjoyed myself photographing two clowns and a rope artist today. It was still only a rehearsal, but you will be able to see it soon.

Spider Festival

I always enjoy the spider festival. Good performances in an excellent setting. Unfortunately I only managed one day this year. The first performance I saw this day was Elisa Zuppini's Himalaya.

Followed by Reinaldo Ribeiro's NO MAS SACRE

and Aha Collective's Dense Piece.

A day in the park (with lots of things happening)

Becoming a child again and watching Dragon Why

and a few clowns strolling round the park, doing their stuff

a virtuoso (even though balloon headed) violinist

4 handed juggling

acrobats on the Chinese pole

and an acrobat on the rope

and of course some aliens.

A lot of it was underwater

and yet, I decided to post a photo from the part of the performance that was not underwater.
