Jamie

Bronson

and Twin Arrows entertained me this Saturday afternoon (this time I am showing you the the drummer from Twin Arrows for a change)

It was a slow start

 to the afternoon

and then it suddenly intensified, with a single song, and a short heart on sleeve moment...

However, as alcohol was poured down the throats of the performers and the listeners, the atmosphere got livelier (and lighter and funnier)

and drunker with Whisky Moon Face

 and Dakota Jim

Crowds filled the Jamboree and danced the night away

and even the Prussian/leopard/Santa could't get us to go
(little did we know, that he was trying to scare us away and have the company of the lovely Miss Lavelle all to himself)

Totally Mild

 came all the way from

 Australia,

and once here, they caught

a bit of a cold.

Sunday, 25 March 2018

Amongst the acts

that Michele Stodart (yes, this time without her brother) presented this time were the sisters

Kate

and Nina (or was it the other way round?)

In some of their songs they reminded me a bit of Alicia Edelweiss (maybe not in the delivery of the song, but in the way the songs seem to be created)

Seen 3 bands tonight

and these are my favourite three pictures I took on the night (one from each band)

the drummer from Blue Bendy

the singer/guitarist from Slonk

 and the singer/guitarist from Fur.

Happy Brithday

Steve!
(It is always good if you can do what you really love at your birthday bash, and in your case it seems to be performing)

Speaker's Corner

If the best you can come up with for your demo poster is I will Hate what I want (and this is not intended ironically or sarcastically) you might want to rethink your life.

After seeing the sorry state of the debates at Speaker's Corner, the slightly aged Superman walked off in disgust (he was so saddened by the level of debate, he could not even muster the energy to fly off)

I was hoping to meet

a friend at Acklam Village before he left London, but he didn't feel like coming because it was too cold. I went anyway and meet some other peeps, and listened to Katmandino

 and the Mardhys play.

After that I went down to Green Note to meet a few friends and listen to Hanna and the Broken Hearts (how come she never invited me into her band? I might not know how to play a instrument, but I sure had my heart broken, so surely I should qualify) play for us on a cold winter night in mid March.

Even if it is just

a brief impromptu move by a dancer at the opening of her photo exhibition I just have to be there to take a photo.

Old Blue Last

Mux warmed us up with their electronic/guitar/vocal combo

The Ferns, who had a Ringo in there (but not on drums) and looked a bit like the Beatles but sounded more like a modern indie band

while China Lane seemed awfully concerned about how they look on stage and could have relaxed a bit and enjoyed the music they were playing.

Once and Future Band

 and I was

 entertaining myself

by taking portraits

and playing with light and shadows.

The line-up changed

a bit as it seems that some bands couldn't make it due to the absolutely bloody cataclysmic snow, but a part of In-flight entertainment managed to make his way through the snow barriers

as did the entire Clerques ensamble (even though I only present you with a photo of the singer, but believe me, they were all there).
