It is always nice to go and see a relative's exhibition and see my relatives that I have not seen for ages. (This of course, is not Margarite's pipe)

The opening of Henri Cartier-Bresson's exhibition
without actually getting inside the gallery to see the 102 portraits, as these new Covid conditions meant that only a certain number of people could stroll through the gallery at any moment in time, and I didn't fancy queuing up for ages, when I could spend the time chatting to people and (uncharacteristic for me) drinking wine... The portraits await another day, preferably a morning during the week, when the gallery will be reserved for a very private viewing. But, during the opening ceremony we heards a few speeches as well as a few songs that were originally sung be Edith Piaf (who's portrait is, I am told, also to be seen in this exhibition).

At the first exhibition
I saw some graffiti drawing Legos
at the second exhibition someone almost stole my heart.
I missed almost the entire concert of the first band, but from what I saw they had a wild drummer
while the second band I enjoyed until the very end, and then some more.Wednesday, 16 September 2015

I thought
the whole idea behind the Anthropocene was that we screw up this planet so badly there is no survival.

I remember
my dad would tell me various anecdotes revolving around these guys and after seeing some photos from the 'fun ol' times' I did for a moment regret I was not walking around with a camera already at the time, but immediately afterwards I thought: 'I can do this now, with other peeps', so now I am looking forward to doing some good goofy photos soon.

It is always extra nice
to see people at openings not only hanging out, but actually taking time to look at the exhibition.
Unfortunately on this occasion I was not one of the people to do this (but I know I will be back to see the exhibition), because I really wanted to go and see this guy
move to poetry (Grega, we really need to do the project we talked about a few years ago - we need to make time).

Sometimes
you come to an exhibition opening with your camera and all that is exhibited is one video projection (and you are actually working on this night). There is nothing much you can do but toy around and take photos of the people in the darkness of the gallery.
