Ment day 2

my evening started off with Melidah, who was playing a box which read her movements and this influenced the music and the video projection - a  bit like a theremin, but on steroids (I guess there is a lot of programming behind it)

followed by the always entertaining Alicia Edelweis, this time with a band

and Amorante, who many of us unfortunately left in the middle of the performance as we headed for another concert (honestly it had nothing to do that with the autotuner you used in the song just before we left...)

... of course, by the time I reached the band I left Amorante for, it was so crowded I did not make it to the front to take a photo, so after a while we went to see Čao Portorož

and then I strolled cross the courtyard to finish off my evening with Rush to Relax.

Tea everywhere you look

but there can never be enough tea.
And after all that tea I went for a cruise round Metelkova to see what else is happening and found two concerts in the first two places I walked into, Prismojeni profesorji bluesa
and Saša 21.

Needed

to stick around people yesterday, so that was exactly what I did. And while doing so, I might have watched a dance/music improvisation piece
and a concert which got me as soon as I read the band's influences (Zappa, Mr. Bungle, Stravinsky and some other)

At the first exhibition

I saw some graffiti drawing Legos
at the second exhibition someone almost stole my heart.
I missed almost the entire concert of the first band, but from what I saw they had a wild drummer
while the second band I enjoyed until the very end, and then some more.

Metelkova anniversary time

and I felt like I have just spent a couple of years reenacting fear and loathing in Ljubljana, or maybe, I was hired to be George's shadow (the one who does all the work now he is a bit on the old side) in down and out in Metelkova,

So after seeing a couple of openings (the more observant ones amongst you might have noticed this is just one of them, but you will just have to work a bit harder to find a photo or two from the other one)

and a single concert, I slowly retreated to my hideout.

Somehow

we managed to come to the concert just as they announced their very last song... but of course we stayed for the party that followed...

And...

I am back in Ljubljana, almost straight from the car to a dance performance
 and a concert.

The fun and games

started early in the afternoon with two actors debating Dostoevsky in Glej
and continued in the evening with a few people standing around while the policemen were waiting in the background (even though they did appear slightly two dimensional)
and ended with a concert.

The performance

with some serious questions in the morning
the drummer at the concert in the evening
and the fans (from the concert or the performance?)

I was

really hoping these two would do something together,
but instead they each did their own stuff - a great opportunity was missed I think.
